Committed to Excellence

It’s 7:00 PM the night before we reopen Chick-fil-A at Southroads Shopping Center in Midtown Tulsa. After a five-week remodel, everything from our drive-thru to our dining room — and even our Team Member workspace — has been refreshed. Chick-fil-A has done an incredible job blending the best of what’s familiar with exciting new updates, and I can’t wait to open the doors tomorrow morning at 6:30 AM.

So why am I standing outside tonight, trimming bushes near the drive-thru — the same bushes most guests probably never notice?

Because while we received new landscaping as part of the remodel, not everything was touched. And over the past five weeks, some of it got out of control. Sure, our landscaping team will be back next week to take care of it professionally — but we open tomorrow, not next week.

Our vision since day one has been to have a positive influence on all who come into contact with Chick-fil-A. That includes serving great food, delivering fast and friendly service, and creating a clean, welcoming environment — right down to the details others might overlook.

The road ahead will be a journey. We’ll get many things right, and we’ll get some things wrong. We’re not perfect, and we never will be. I can’t promise every visit will be flawless — though I hope most are — but I can promise that we’ll always stay committed to our purpose, and to doing things with excellence.

Tonight, that means the bushes are trimmed.

Tomorrow, it means your sandwich is hot, fast, just the way you like it — with a smile and a “My pleasure!”
